It has been a while. Sorry about that. Have shifted the goalposts a bit over the last few months in my working life. It has required some adjustment to my bookmaking practice and to my Passerby Project particularly.
I’ve also been taking stock of the Passerby zines I’ve made thus far and have carefully considered my approach to this work and how I might change and improve it. Number 7 will be available very soon at my Big Cartel shop along with a selection of the images as A4 prints.
For number 7 and likely beyond I will produce layflat books rather than stapled zines. Much like my Pandemic Constitutional book and of similar size but more robust. I will also return to matte paper as I tired of the ultra glossy. I have just taken delivery of 400 sheets of the matte stuff. I also have a copious stock of ink for both printers, one for books and one for signed archival premium lustre prints.
Rather than printing books to order as I did previously, I will make a batch of Passerby 7. Probably 20 to start with. Number 7 and its print selections will only be available until number 8 is ready. Previous editions and their prints will become available from time to time however.
Previous Passerby zines and prints are available now but will be removed when I launch number 7 next week. Otherwise everything gets unmanageable.
I have just returned from a trip to Asturias in northern Spain with my family, including the dog. It was brilliant. Three years later than initially planned. Made a handful of photos I like which might get into number 7.

I took only my Fujifilm X100T, newly rebuilt by Fujifilm UK. This is the best camera I have ever used. I have others of higher resolution but nothing compares to this thing. I know and trust it completely.
For my next posting here I will show a picture and share a work of fiction inspired by it composed by my son Eoin who is studying English and Creative Writing at Brunel University here in London. We have completed work for a book expanding on an earlier zine called Solivagant. There is much yet to do in terms of layout, design and logistics for this project and I will update here as and when.
Please don’t hesitate to make contact or comment for whatever reason.
Thanks for your time.
