Making Passerby 8
Part 1
It has been a time since last posting here. Been busy settling into a routine of sorts. Finding a balance between my work for Apple and my photography and publishing practice.
I’m delighted to bring to you, or at least those of you who’ve been asking, part 1 of a tutorial on how I make my Passerby series of diminutive photobooks.
As I could not get my studio mic to work I had to use my Apple EarPods - the wired ones - to do the voice over. It worked fine but doesn’t sound as rich as would have. There’s a little gain creeping in some.
It’s only 10 minutes or so and assumes that most viewers would already have some Photoshop / Affinity Photo knowledge. Please don’t hesitate with any questions you may have. You can comment here on this page, email, text me on +447852660496 or direct message me on the various socials.
Part 1 demos how I set up the files and prep for printing.
Part 2 will demonstrate how I handle the prints, establish a sequence and assemble the book using only archival tapes. No glue.
If you find this useful, please consider making a purchase or supporting production with a small contribution.
Part 2 follows soon. See you then and thanks for your time.
